"Since we purchased our spa from you at the end of March 1993, I have noticed an unexpected but wonderful by-product of using your spa, which I think you should know about.
"I have a hiatus hernia which has caused problems several times a day (and especially at night) unless I take medication - and oftentimes, even if I do take medication.
"Since I began lying in the hot tub with my full torso submerged, even eating the "wrong things" at the wrong times in large amounts and late at night before bed (done on purpose to see what would happen), I had ABSOLUTELY NO NEGATIVE PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS.
"I tried skipping a day soaking in the hot tub, and the symptoms returned. I soaked the next evening and since, and no symptoms occurred on any occasion in which I had soaked the evening before. I find the beneficial results last about one-and-a-half days.
"I have informed my family doctor of this phenomenon. I don't claim that it heals the hernia (but it will be interesting to see if, over time, the hernia disappears), but it certainly has kept the stomach acids from backing up into the esophagus and causing both the discomfort and the damage.

"In 1993 my wife and I decided to purchase a hot tub. This was partially on the advice of our Doctor as my wife and I have some arthritis problems.
"We did quite a bit of research regarding dealers and their products. We spoke with several friends who had already purchased and were enjoying their hot tubs. During this period of research, one name constantly arose and that was "Borton."
"My wife and I visited several dealers and after reviewing all their data, found that Bob and Pat and employees, seemed to offer the best sales and service. We did not feel pressured to buy when we did examine their various tubs and we felt they were sincere in their promises of continued service after purchase.
"We purchased a 690 model in 1993 and have been very, very happy with the unit since its installation. We are happy with the therapeutic benefits from its constant use. We use the tub at least three times a week.
"We had also purchased a puppy earlier and he immediately found a spot on the side of the tub where he sits and enjoys the warmth of the tub while we relax and enjoy the warm water.
"There has been no major problems with the units during the past three years and any minor adjustments that have been required, have been dealt with immediately. On one occasion we had trouble turning one of the air handles and Bob was able to send one of his workers, who was on a day off, an hour later. You cannot get better service than that.
"The Bortons are never too busy to answer questions or to assist in the water care program etc. We have already recommended them to our neighbours and they too purchased a tub recently.
"One of the greatest tests of any purchase is the after sales service and I can attest to the fact that the Bortons certainly continue their service after the purchase of a tub or other product.
"My wife and I find the tub very relaxing and its a place to sit and chat about many subjects and be undisturbed by phones, pagers and the like. Sammy, the puppy, loves to sleep on his area and never misses the chance to sit with us."
